Dubai Residency Training Program
EXTENDED Invitation Of Applications For Admission Into
The
Dubai Residency Training Programme
(including programme in Psychiatry)
2008-9 Academic Year
- The Dubai Residency Training
Programme is sponsored by Dubai Health Authority. The goal is to produce medical
specialists who are capable of independent practice using mainly local resources
and supplementing with external resources where and when necessary.

It is a structured, goals-oriented
and objectives-driven programme designed to meet and in some cases exceed the
requirements of international accrediting bodies.

The programme
incorporates the structure and requirements of the Arab Board, the British
Royal Colleges and the North American bodies.
- Candidates completing the programme
will have completed and obtained the certificates for the membership of the Arab
Board for Specialisation and the British Royal Colleges before the end of
training. It is expected that the completion of training will be marked by an
assessment and certification.

The duration of
training varies from four to six years depending on the specialty.

Trainees
admitted into the programme must have:
o successfully completed their basic medical education from a WHO listed University, and
o
successfully
completed the one year internship period
- All applicants must qualify by
passing the Pre-Entry Evaluation Examination.
- This is a written examination designed to assess the preparedness of the candidates for an intensive training programme. Sample questions that give indication of the depth and breadth of tests can be found by clicking on the link above.
- This is only a qualifying examination and candidates must satisfy the interview panel at a structured interview session in order to be admitted into the programme. As such, only applicants who pass the written examination will be invited for interview.
This advertisement is open to all nationalities.
A non-UAE national should meet the following conditions:
- The applications should be submitted on-line at e-job
- The deadline for close of application is 10th May, 2008.
- An applicant who has not received details of the time and venue of the examination by 14th May, 2008 should please contact the names listed below.

The written examination is scheduled for Saturday 17th May, 2008. The oral interview will be from 25th
May, 2008 according to the Specialty.
