THIS TEST IS DONE IN TWO STEPS:

FIRST: Cardiac scanning is done while you are at rest (SUNDAY)

SECOND: Cardiac scanning done with stress, which will be done by a Pharmacologic injection. (TUESDAY)

This test is done on two separate days: SUNDAY and TUESDAY and each day will take about 3 - 4 hours.
You must come FASTING on both days (i.e. on Sunday and Tuesday)
On MONDAY you must NOT have TEA, COFFEE, PEPSI, COLA DRINKS, CHOCOLATES and BANANA at all.
If you are taking any medicine by name of Persantin (Dipyridamole), you must stop it for 2 days before Tuesday.
If you are ASTHMATIC, inform our Doctor/Nurse/Receptionist giving you the appointment.
If you are a male patient, you MUST SHAVE your chest.
DO NOT TAKE ANY MEDICATIONS IN THE MORNING
Whatever medication you are taking in the mornings, please bring them with you when you come for both the tests (on Sunday and Tuesday)
You have to follow these instructions to do these tests

CARDIAC TEST WITH TREADMILL EXERCISE OR PHARMACOLOGICAL INJECTION:

THIS TEST IS DONE IN TWO STEPS:

FIRST: Cardiac scanning will be done while you are at rest (WEDNESDAY)

SECOND: Cardiac scanning will be done by doing a stress test either by Treadmill exercise/or by a Pharmacological injection (SUNDAY)

For the FIRST test a rest test is done, which will take 2-3 hours on that day (WEDNESDAY).
For the SECOND test, a stress test is done which will take 4-5 hours (Sunday)
- You MUST come FASTING.
- If you are a male patient, you must SHAVE your chest.
You must NOT have TEA, COFFEE, PEPSI, COLA DRINKS, CHOCOLATES and BANANA - one day before the STRESS test.
DO NOT TAKE ANY MEDICATIONS IN THE MORNING.
If you are taking TENORMIN or ATENOLOL, DO NOT take this medication one day before the STRESS test.
PLEASE bring whatever medications you are taking with you when you come for the test on this date.
You MUST follow these instructions to do these tests.
