A listserv allows groups
of people interested in the same topic to discuss these topics via e-mail.
Those who enroll themselves in the listserv receive notification of all
posts arriving at the listserv. They can respond to these notifications with
their viewpoints. But initially one must sign up and ask to be added to a
listserv.
