Another of the MLS remote resources is its collection of eJournals. This is a very important tool for locating the latest developments and information in the medical profession. The list of journals available to MLS electronically, is arranged alphabetically, title wise. There are many journals of which full text is available and there are others which give abstracts of the articles.

The following sites are reference tools to locate any periodical on the net and the databases that index a particular journal:

 

Openly jake: jake is a reference source which makes finding, managing, and linking online journals and journal articles easier for students, researchers, and librarians

Jake is an experimental search engine started by Yale medical librarians.  Enter the name of a periodical and Jake will return a list of databases that index that particular title

Genamics JournalSeek: Genamics JournalSeek is the largest completely categorized database of freely available journal information available on the internet, Gives the journal website.

 

Biomedical Journal Title Search: This service searches over 8,000 titles, including 3,854 titles currently indexed for MEDLINE. This service can assist in converting the full title of a biomedical journal to an abbreviation, or, from an abbreviation into the full title
